Part Time Science Jobs description

The responsibilities of a part time science professional consist of administering tests and computerized tasks to subjects and recording and scoring the data collected, collecting and organizing field data following instructions and standardized procedures, performing data entry and compiling reports or maps portraying data and monitoring condition in assigned program areas. He/she provides logistical support and area orientation for contract or cooperating scientists and operates and maintains sampling, monitoring and laboratory equipment and instruments.

A part time science professional in aquaculture operates and maintains recirculation of freshwater facility and monitors filtration systems and water quality and assists in diagnosis and control of disease. The responsibility of this job in Biotechnology consists of preparing media, performing tissue culture on a wide variety of plants, cleaning glassware, collecting packs and delivering tissue-cultured plants. A part time science professional in Entomology rears and maintains insect colonies, and in the field of Plant Science, he/she maintains a high-quality show of hydroponically grown food crops from around the globe; seeds, transplants and irrigates and prunes plants.
