A part time technology professional performs programming and coding, identifying and solving bugs and software problems and creating bug free software codes, creating code review reports and unit testing and configuration of software, designing and developing complex models or simulations as well as applying analytical techniques, control strategies and advanced computer programs to identify and resolve problems . A part time technology professional designs, plans, configures, maintains the network and troubleshoots network problems and performs security configuration of the company’s network environment, installation, up gradation, maintenance and provides protection against virus.

The functions of a part time technology professional include performing server maintenance and troubleshooting including software security patches, operating system updates and bug fixes. Also, he/she maintains the Security Event Management or Security Information Management systems of the company in order to ensure the safety of the information assets of the company and maintains and updates virus protection software as well as identifies the areas where the information security policies and procedures need changes and develops and implements the needful security plan.
